I am truly honored to collaborate with Saltfields Brewing. There is nothing more exciting than discovering a NYC independent craft beer company run by a young couple from back home. I was fortunate to meet Yuki and Yumi through my friends Taiji Kuroda and Koichi Sato; Taiji handles their design work, and Koichi created their first collaboration label.
I enjoyed every moment of this project. Yuki and Yumi visited my studio and selected several pieces to be featured as labels. Elias also produced a wonderful video documenting the process—from my studio to the show opening and the canning line. It was my first time seeing the behind-the-scenes operations of a Brooklyn brewery, located just a block from my old neighborhood in Gowanus.
Additionally, the gathering at Taku Sando in February was a huge success. Beyond the sales, it was a memorable day for my family and me as we reconnected with so many familiar faces. I truly appreciate the vision and direction provided by Saltfields Brewing throughout this entire experience.
